Stephanie Babirak is professional harpist based in New York City and Portland, Maine. Lauded by The Huffington Post as a “seraphic” artist and “a lovely harpist,” Stephanie uses sonic experiences to whisk her audiences away to another world. While she was trained classically, her specialty is in contemporary music. Therefore, it’s not uncommon for the ethereal tones of her harp to meet the deep bass beats of DJs, to join a whimsical circus, to complement the distorted guitars of a rock band, to add elegance to any wedding, or to simply bathe listeners in soothing sound and healing vibrations. 

To date, Stephanie has performed in prestigious venues in New York such as Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, and Terminal 5 in addition to touring nationally. She has also worked with Indie and Major label artists including The Joy Formidable, Adele, and Andra Day. Stephanie made her international debut at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2019 in Scotland. Her playing has been featured on USA Network’s television series “Mr. Robot” and the 2018 Super Bowl commercial for the Hyundai Genesis. While Stephanie’s repertoire has tremendous range, she holds a special interest in contemporary music which the Alternative Press boasts that she “plays divinely.” 

Stephanie grew up in Maine and trained in NYC, where she received her undergraduate degree and master’s in harp. After living and working solely in New York for ten years, she now splits her time between two cities she deeply loves: Portland, ME and New York City.
